Why Practice the K53 Learner’s Test Online?
The South African K53 learner’s licence test has a high failure rate — many first-time candidates fail not because they don’t know the material, but because they’re unfamiliar with the question format. Practicing online helps you:
- Get comfortable with the style and wording of real K53 questions.
- Identify weak areas (road signs, vehicle controls, or rules of the road) before exam day.
- Build confidence by taking the test as many times as you need — it’s free and unlimited.
- Save time and money by passing the first time.
About the K53 Learner’s Licence
The K53 learner’s licence is the first step towards getting your driver’s licence in South Africa. The written test is required for all Code 1 (motorcycle), Code 2 (light motor vehicle), and Code 3 (heavy motor vehicle) applicants. You must score at least:
- 22 out of 30 on the Rules of the Road section
- 23 out of 28 on the Road Signs section
- 6 out of 8 on the Vehicle Controls section
You need to pass all three sections to be issued a learner’s licence.
